Dear Friends,
It has now been two years since we launched the Lénaïc Fund for Quality Journalism to help young EU female graduates to kick-start their career in Brussels.
We are very proud to report that, thanks to the wonderful support we received from you, we have been able to attribute four fellowships already.
Maria is still in Brussels, now working in the social media team of the DG Research and Innovation of the EC, Judith is at the prestigious Axel Springer Academy in Berlin and working there with Politico, Zosia now has a permanent job with Mlex in Brussels and Eline started her placement with Politico a month ago. Our four fellows are bright and delightful young women who are pursuing their careers in the Spirit of the Lénaïc Fund and we are very proud to count them amongst our fellows.
However, if we want to be able to carry on giving this great opportunity to other very able young women in memory of Lénaïc, we urgently need to raise more funds and so we are turning to you again to ask for your help. You can donate in all transparency and safety via the King Baudoin Foundation by clicking on this link knowing that every donation counts (however small, or big ;-)) and is tax deductible.
Cancer took Lénaïc away from us but let it not take everything she achieved away too and let her spirit live through these great young women who will continue her work. We know, from the quality of applications we receive, that the need is there and we hope that your generosity will help us to continue to provide for them. Thank you for your continuous support.
Grateful regards,
The Lénaïc Fund for Quality Journalism
